That's unfortunate, as having Ethernet would have made this one step closer to a docking station replacement for us. These displays will charge, provide touch, video, audio, and USB passthrough to the display, but they will NOT provide Ethernet to the laptop - even though the displays have Ethernet built in. It would be nice to eliminate our USB-C docking stations, and utilize USB-C straight from the wall plate / display to the teacher laptop. The cable length limit on USB-C with displays is kind of an unknown I still need to test and figure out (extensions, etc). The newer Smart MX (V3) boards have USB-C now as well, but I'm not sure how useful that is at this point (we'll be ordering some over summer I believe). We are mostly happy with the Smart MX displays I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
